Booking Your Day

How do I book you for my requested date?

I require a $100 non-refundable deposit to hold your event date. I will send you my contract to fill out and have back to me at least 2 months prior to your date. This is to ensure that I have enough help if additional artists are needed. 

Please note, until you pay your deposit, your requested event date will remain available to book. Once the deposit is paid, that day is closed to all others who may contact me for services. 

There will be an additional fee of $250 if booked on any federal holiday or holiday weekend as stated below:

New Year's Eve, New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Memorial Day weekend, Juneteenth, Independence Day (July 4th), Independence Day weekend, Labor Day, Labor Day weekend, Thanksgiving Day and weekend, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and weekend

Consultation & Trial

Consultations are always free and after one is finished you can decide if you would like a trial or not. A trial for services is not required, but is encouraged if you are feeling nervous or unsure about your look. 

 

Consultations and trials can be scheduled by texting me at 217.898.7914. Include your name, event date, location, and amount of services you will be needing.

How long does it take for hairstyling and makeup applications?

Almost any size bridal party can be accommodated. I have licensed

co-stylists and makeup artists available to come with me to help with large parties.

Hairstyling and makeup application both take approximately 45 minutes. 

I will take up to 4 hours of work alone. Should you require one of my co-stylists, to cut the time in half (2 hours), an additional fee will be added to your balance. 

Parties requiring services over 5 hours will require a co-stylist to help at no additional charge. Should you require a third stylist/makeup artist, a fee will be added to your balance. 

Payment and Tipping

How does payment and tipping work?

I accept cash, Venmo, PayPal, and Cash App

A standard tip for hair styling and/or makeup application is around 20%.

However, tips are at your discretion and are not required, but are always appreciated. 

Travel

My event is out of town, do you travel?

On your event day, I will come to you in the comfort of your own home, hotel, venue, or wherever you will be. I will travel up to 15 miles in the Champaign-Urbana area with no travel fee. A travel fee of $1.40 per mile round trip ($0.70 cents there and back) will be applied if the travel will be between more than 15 miles from my home in Champaign, IL. 

Parties requiring 3 or less services will be charged an additional fee of $95 if within 15 miles of Champaign-Urbana area. Mileage will also be charged in addition to the fee if outside of the 15 mile Champaign-Urbana radius.

You will be expected to cover all costs for hotel accommodations where it is not practical to travel on the day of your event. This includes but is not limited to early start time (before 7am), distance, weather conditions, etc. 

If the site location is 60 miles or more away, hotel accommodations must be made for a co-stylist and myself (1 room) for the night before the event date. All parking fees will also be applied to the travel balance. In addition to hotel coverage, a travel fee of $1.40 per mile round trip ($.70 there and back) will be applied.

Skin and Hair Prep

What should I do to prepare for the day of my event?

Makeup services: in order to get your skin looking and feeling great for the big day, it is recommended to keep a consistent skincare regimen for your skin type; cleansing the skin morning and night, applying toner (optional) and applying a moisturizer.  The day of your makeup application, be sure to have the skin cleansed and moisturized and eyebrows tweezed of any stray hairs or waxed a few days prior. 

Hair services: The day of your event, be sure you and your party have your hair clean and blown dry. It is very helpful if you use a volumizing mousse and a smoothing cream before blow drying. The same goes for any clip in extensions (you provide). Please note that clip-in extensions placement is an additional fee.

 

Blow drying wet hair takes up additional time and we want to make sure the getting ready process goes smoothly and stays on track. 

Cancellation Policy

What happens if I have to cancel?

In the event a listed party on the contract who was set to receive services cancels within 30 days or less of the wedding date, a $95 cancellation fee per service will be applied to the balance.

In the event the Client cancels, Client will lose the deposit made to the Artist. Upon payment of the cancellation fee, Client will have no further liability to Artist hereunder.

Airbrush vs. Traditional Makeup

Do you offer airbrush makeup?

I do not offer airbrush makeup at this time. Airbrush makeup will NOT make you look more flawless than traditional makeup would, which is a common misconception. There are a lot of very talented artists who use airbrush makeup and do a beautiful job, it is just not something I specialize in or offer. 

 

I only use products that I personally know will wear well and last all day and night; that can be cried in, sweat in, and rained on, applying and blending everything by hand. Nothing will be flawless and last forever, but I do my best to find the most suitable products for all my clients.
